Artist's Statement

Lace, like a woman, is made of exquisitely strong fiber. By incorporating my own dresses and my grandmother’s laces into my work I feel a connection to the past, and I discover patterns that suggest new possibilities. The fabrics tease the mind by holding their original image, yet allowing for the creation of something new.
